Warm the worker, not the warehouse

M‑Heat costs no more than 70p for an eight-hour shift at 25p/kWh, up to 82.5% less energy than a 2 kW space heater. Where it replaces one local heater, a single mat could save around £858 a year and repay its price in about 13 months.

M‑Heat is costed at its full 350 W rating for the whole shift. Its regulated surface cycles on and off, so real use should be lower. Payback is on the VAT-inclusive price of £929.95. The saving only exists where the mat lets you switch off or turn down local heating: if every heater stays on, M‑Heat adds up to £182 a year instead.

About this product

The M-Heat mat is a heavy-industrial heated standing platform. It combines an anti-fatigue standing surface with far-infrared heating, so the person at the workstation stays warm without you having to heat the whole building around them.

Each mat measures 93 x 73 cm, stands 3.5 cm high and weighs 16 kg. The surface is slip-resistant aluminium tread plate in a hazard warning yellow steel frame, built for warehouses, packing stations, assembly lines and other cold working areas. It draws a maximum of 350 W, regulates its surface to a maximum of 60 °C and is rated IP44.

Link up to five mats on one socket. Each link needs one M-Heat connector cable, so a run of five mats needs four cables, and trailing leads stay to a minimum. Fit an M-Heat safety connector between each pair of mats for one continuous standing platform along a longer line.

M-Heat mats are dispatched directly by the manufacturer in 5 to 8 working days, with free delivery to UK mainland addresses and a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. If you are equipping several workstations, ask us for a quote.

Questions we get asked

How does a heated mat keep someone warm?

The M-Heat mat gives off far-infrared radiant heat, which warms the person standing on it rather than the air around them. That makes it a practical option for cold warehouses, loading bays and production lines, where heating the whole space is expensive or impossible.

How much does it cost to run?

The M-Heat mat draws a maximum of 350 W. As a guide, at 25p per kWh that is under 9p for each hour it runs at full power, and the regulated surface means it does not run at full power all the time. Check your own tariff for an exact figure.

Can I join several mats together?

Yes. Up to five M-Heat mats can run from one socket, linked mat to mat with connector cables, which keeps trailing leads down. Never connect more than five on one power lead. For a continuous standing surface across the joins, fit an M-Heat safety connector between each pair of mats.

Does it need an electrician to install?

No fixed installation is needed. It plugs into a standard UK socket. The manufacturer recommends the supply is protected by a 30 mA RCD, and that larger linked runs go on their own circuit so it is not overloaded.

Can it be used outdoors or in wet areas?

No. The M-Heat mat is for indoor use only, on a flat, stable floor. It is IP44 rated against splashes, but it must not be used on wet floors, near water or in hazardous areas.

How is it delivered?

M-Heat mats are dispatched directly by the manufacturer in 5 to 8 working days. Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. We cannot currently ship heated mats outside the UK mainland, so contact us for other destinations.
