About this product

The M5 Anti-Slip Tile is a black 46 x 46 x 2.5 cm tile with a gritted top surface for extra grip. It is part of our Anti-Slip Safety Flooring family within the M5 range.

M5 tiles interlock, so you can build a mat to any footprint — a single workstation, a walkway or a full floor area. Each tile covers roughly 0.21 square metres, and a box of 10 covers about 2.1 square metres. If your layout changes, lift the tiles and reconfigure them; nothing is fixed down.

Matching M5 anti-slip edging finishes exposed edges, and pre-configured anti-slip workstation kits are available if you want a ready-sized mat. Three variants are available on this page: black gritted, smooth black and custom colour. Custom colours are made to order and priced by quote.

Where it’s used

Welding and hot-works bays. Classified Cfl-s2 for reaction to fire (EN 13501-1).
Wet, oily or dusty floors. The gritted top is rated R13 under DIN 51130, the highest slip rating.
Machine shops and fabrication. A modular floor that can be relaid around machinery rather than replaced.

Is M5 suitable for welding and hot-works bays?

Yes. M5 tiles are classified Cfl-s2 for reaction to fire under EN 13501-1, the European fire classification for floor coverings, tested to EN ISO 9239-1 and EN ISO 11925-2. That is why M5 is specified for welding, grinding and fabrication bays. Test reports are available on request.

How much floor does one tile cover?

Each 46 x 46 cm tile covers roughly 0.21 square metres, so a box of 10 covers about 2.1 square metres. Tell us your floor dimensions and we will work out the quantity for you.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Samples are available on request, so you can check the tile against your floor and workspace before committing to an order.

Is there matching edging?

Yes. Matching M5 anti-slip edging is available in the shop to ramp the tiles down to floor level, and pre-configured anti-slip workstation kits are also available.
